People often ask me, "What drives you? What is your source of inspiration that gets you up and going?" My answer is that my inspiration is deeply rooted in two fundamental pillars: my unwavering faith and motherhood.
My faith is more than just a belief system; it's the bedrock upon which I build my life. Everyday I am guided by the word of God and in all situations I strive to display the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The way God teaches me to live, guides my interactions and decisions, shaping the way I lead and manage my team. I strive to create a workplace where respect, empathy, and understanding are paramount.
Being a mother is a demanding, yet incredibly fulfilling, role. It's also a masterclass in management. Juggling the needs of my family with the demands of my career has taught me invaluable lessons in time management, prioritisation, and adaptability. Just as I must balance the schedules and needs of my children, I must also balance the competing priorities of my team and the organisation.
Motherhood has also instilled in me a deep understanding of compromise and compassion. I've learnt that not every situation is black and white, and that sometimes, the most effective solution is one that requires flexibility and understanding.
Moreover, motherhood has sharpened my ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Dealing with the often unexpected, has prepared me for the inevitable curveballs that come with managing operations.
